Homeownership Qualifications & Requirements

In partnership with the City of Newport, Neighborhood Foundations will utilize funds provided by Kentucky Housing Corporation and funds from the Department for Local Government to provide soft-second financing to qualified buyers.

 

Program Summary and Qualifications

Information regarding applications for these homes can be obtained by contacting Neighborhood Foundations at 859-581-2533. Applications are processed in the order received and qualified applicants are selected on a first come, first served basis.

The City of Newport, Kentucky Housing Corporation, the Department for Local Government and Neighborhood Foundations conduct business in accordance with applicable local, state and federal Fair Housing laws and regulations.

Rental Qualifications & Requirements

The qualifications for admission to one of our family scattered sites development.

  1. Each family member over 18 years of age must be working a minimum of 20 hours per week, unless elderly, disabled, or otherwise exempt.  Contact our office for more information.  NOTE:  This requirement applies to the City-Wide Development only.

  2. A favorable rental and credit history

  3. No criminal record of violent or drug-related crimes
